The Story Behind Auto Academy

When I turned 16 and got my first car, I fell in love with it immediately. I'd spend hours watching people build and modify their cars — all I wanted was to do the same thing. But every time I tried, I hit the same wall. I didn't actually understand how anything worked. Not the engine, not the electronics, not why my car did the things it did. I had the passion but not the foundation.

So I went and got it the hard way. I enrolled in automotive school, then spent three years as a technician at a Chevrolet dealership turning wrenches every single day. The knowledge came — but it took years and real money to get there. Looking back, most of what I learned in those first two years could have been taught in a fraction of the time if the right resource had existed.

It didn't. So I built it.

What Auto Academy Is

Auto Academy is an online automotive education platform built as the tech school alternative. We teach every major vehicle system — engine, fuel, ignition, cooling, electrical, exhaust, transmission, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, HVAC, tires, and diagnostics — in a way that's structured, accessible, and built for real understanding rather than memorization.

The platform is built around a growing course library. Automotive Fundamentals is the foundation — 16 modules, a 100-question final exam, and a certificate of completion. Every course that follows builds on that foundation, covering advanced topics in performance, modification, diagnostics, and more.
